Due to Covid-19, WSOP 2020 is taking place online without any media coverage or great level celebrations. Before this, the buy-in for all the poker championships held was a $50,000-entry in Las Vegas. However, it has been halved this year, accounting for $25,000. Despite this, WSOP brought the same excitement and pleasure for all the players taking part.
This year, Christian Rudolph succeeded to defeat a stacked field of 407 entries while winning the 2020 World Series of Poker Online for USD1,800,290. Additionally, he grabbed his first-ever gold bracelet.
The final table for this event was shared by nine players including Christian Rudolph, Chris Hunichen, and Shankar Pillai. Talking about Pillai, he is a two-time bracelet winner. In the event, he sat in second chip position after Rudolph. Although Pilai has given many victorious performances in the past, he lost at a huge gap of USD821,152 from the German winner.
In the event, Aliakseii Boika was the first player to get eliminated with a prize amount of USD154,416, followed by Paulis Plausinaitis from Lithuania (won $210,079) and Jason Koon from the United States (won $285,808). Bruno Botteon stood at 6th place with $388,837 while Aram Zobian from the United States (won $529,005) and Aleksejs Ponakovs from Latvia (won $719,700) grabbed 5th and 4th places respectively.
Christian Rudolph has seen tough times in the past performances over the last few years. In 2018, the German player tried his best in WSOP Europe for USD603,212 and finished as the runner-up. But this time, he has succeeded to get a massive win amount of 1.8 million, plus his first piece of WSOP bracelet. Additionally, he claimed the Chip Reese Trophy with this victory.
